In addition to our regular monthly meetings, DPA produces two major events each year: Texas Production Roundup and It Came From Dallas.
Texas Production Roundup
Texas Production Roundup is an annual trade show of film/video production services and technology in North Texas. Each year, the top companies throughout the market showcase their latest and greatest services and equipment. Seminars run throughout the day offering production information. The 2012 Texas Production Roundup tradeshow will be held Thursday May 24 at Grapevine Convention Center.
It Came From Dallas
It
Came From Dallas is in its seventh year. This annual show offers
a light-hearted look back at production filmed in Dallas through
the years. "It Came From Dallas – The Magnificent 7th" is Dallas Producers Association’s
7th annual celebration of filmmaking and filmmakers in North Texas… from the ridiculous to the sublime.
Presenting sponsor for this year’s show is Replicopy.
It Came From Dallas was created to not only honor the trailblazers of the Dallas film industry, but also to serve as an annual Dallas Producers Association fundraiser that would benefit the Texas Motion Picture Alliance, a group founded by DPA which has been integral in supporting the Texas Moving Image Industry Incentive Program responsible for bringing film and television production jobs to Texas.
