SEEKING LOCAL PRODUCTION NEWS & PRESS RELEASES
ARTICLE SUGGESTIONS, TIPS & HINTS
We want to hear from you! Your fellow DPA members want to hear
from you! And THE REEL, Dallas Producers Association’s newsletter,
is a perfect opportunity to tell your colleagues what’s
happenin’ in your world.
What we need from you to include an article in THE REEL:
A brief, well-written news story. Supporting pictures if you’ve
got ‘em. A short headline for your story. A byline with
your contact info. We're seeking submissions to fill the following
sections:
Member News - Half page or less press releases
about your company or project.
In Production - A single line note about a project
currently in production.
Now Playing - A single line announcement about
the release date of your completed project and info on where your
project can be seen.
Featured Story - An in-depth article about a
project, DPA event or your experiences in production. (See story
ideas below.).
Industry News - A one or two page story about
happenings in the industry that your colleagues would be interested
in. This might be national, Texas or North Texas news of interest
to the North Texas production community.

Tell us about a location you recently shot at
Tell us about a company, group or individual you recently worked
with
Tell us about a project that made an impact in the community
Tell us about an award you won, an honor you received, a milestone
you achieved
Tell us about a recent collaboration with fellow DPA members
Tell us about an event you attended or an event you hosted
Tell us about a new piece of gear you’ve worked with
Tell us about an upcoming project, event, occasion
Give us a review of equipment or software you’ve recently
worked with
Give us a “How to” idea
Give us a “How I did it” recap
Give us a reflection on industry happenings
Share a story from the past
Forward a story or news item you found interesting and would like
to share
Tips:
Include the 5W’s in your story
1) What happened?
2) Who was there?
3) Why did it happen?
4) When did it happen?
5) Where did it happen?

One page articles
