Job Purpose:

This position is an experienced multi-camera Director / Technical Director with a strong technical aptitude. The ideal candidate will have experience directing and technical directing (both as combined roles and each role independently), have strong technical ability to manage technical aspects such as streaming and virtual sets, have strong communication skills to effectively execute clients' vision, and have a background in video editing using Adobe Premiere and After Effects.

Responsibilities:

• Direct multi-camera production for live and taped broadcasts
• Manage technical aspects of the production, such as live streaming and vMix
• Ownership of virtual set production. This includes oversight of camera tracking, Unreal Engine, 3D sets, and keying
• Collaborate with clients to understand their vision and develop a technical plan to execute it
• Communicate effectively with clients, production team, and stakeholders to ensure all requirements are met
• Monitor and troubleshoot technical issues during live broadcasts
• Ensure that all broadcasts meet technical and creative standards
• Manage crews and technical teams related to projects

Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience as a Director in a live broadcast setting
• Strong technical aptitude and experience with live multi-camera production
• Ability to setup and operate large video switchers, such as Grass Valley Kayenne/Karrera
• Experience managing transmission technologies, including web streaming, vMix, and LiveU
• Experience with virtual sets, Unreal Engine, 3D, and keying
• Excellent leadership and communication skills, both with clients and within a production team
• Ability to develop a technical plan and execute clients' vision
• Background in video editing using Adobe Premiere and After Effects is preferred
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
