Job Description
Job Overview:
The ideal candidate for the Video Editor position should have a proven record of delivering high-quality video edit projects in a corporate setting. They should have strong editing skills in Adobe Creative Suite, the ability to manage post-production on their own, and a willingness to continue training in various editorial roles.
The Video Editor will be based at a client site and should possess determination, multi-tasking skills, quick learning ability, and self-direction.
Key responsibilities include:
- Completing editing projects as an individual or part of a team
- Managing all aspects of the editing process, including initial discussions with clients or producers; pre-production meetings; stringouts, editing and graphics; and clear communication throughout the project
- Possessing the ability to juggle multiple projects at once
- Handling media management, organization, and troubleshooting
- Acting as the main point of contact with clients for edit-only projects
- Organize raw footage related to a job and keep records of all assets
- Ingest media onto servers and set up projects with the proper naming conventions
- Solve basic hardware and software issues independently
- Must possess a solid understanding and discipline in media management, organization and troubleshooting
- Export, upload, and deliver projects to clients within specifications
- For edit-only projects, act as a Project Lead by being main point of contact with the client and act as Producer
Qualifications:
- Proficient in the Adobe Creative Suite, especially in Premiere and After Effects
- At least 5 years of on-the-job experience
- Excellent organizational, detail-oriented, and time management skills
- Willingness to work extended hours when necessary to complete a project or task
- Prior corporate experience
